2024 EVENT RESULTS

Under the warm October sun, the 79th Annual JM Media BC Match Play wrapped up with two new teams etched on the trophies.

Congratulations to our champions! Team Ilirian Zalli and Jackson Jacob emerged victorious in the Open Division, while Team Craig Brown and Ken Cormack claimed the title in the Net Division. A special shoutout to Jackson Jacob for earning his first professional win, and to Ilirian Zalli for adding another triumph to his remarkable seven-win season on the VGT. The future is bright for these talented players!

The finals were packed with unforgettable action. In the Open Division, Stephen Gotch and Stephen Lecuyer showed remarkable resilience, rallying back each time their opponents pulled ahead, keeping the match tied through the first ten holes. Even with Gotch firing two eagles on the back nine, Ilirian and Jackson managed to pull away to go 2 up. In a thrilling moment on the 13th hole, Ilirian answered Gotch’s eagle with a back-to-back eagle of his own. The match ultimately concluded on the 17th hole with Zalli and Jacob emerging as champions – a true battle of equals that left the crowd wanting more!
